Meet Mark Reynolds

Mark Reynolds was raised in the Columbia Gorge on a family farm. He has spent his life dedicated to education, as a teacher Hood River Valley High School and Cascade Locks High School. His wife and daughter are teachers in Oregon as well, so it is clear to see these values run deep. Now Reynolds is taking his commitment to our students and our families to the next level by running to be your next State Representative.

Reynolds understands our community and will be a strong voice for all families, from Sandy, to Gresham, to Boring, to Mount Hood and the Hood River Valley, and everything in between. He will focus on getting the results we need to create opportunity for all of us – not just the wealthiest among us.

As State Representative, Reynolds will stand up for strong schools that inspire our students and prepare them for successful careers. He gets that when we invest in our students’ future, we are also investing in our community’s future. Our students deserve smaller class sizes, a higher chance at graduation, and access to higher education that won’t send them spiraling into debt.

Reynolds will fight to create better paying jobs by investing in strong jobs skills training programs to ensure we have a well-educated workforce. He also knows it is time to stop putting corporate profits above safety and what is best for our community. Mt. Hood and the Columbia Gorge are two of Oregon’s most treasured landmarks and we need a legislator who will fight for them. Reynolds will work to make sure the out-of-state corporations pay their fair share and are not put ahead of our local businesses, communities, or our environment. Reynolds will work to level the playing field for small businesses and middle class families, by ensuring out-of-state corporations pay their fair share, so we can fully fund our schools and other critical services we depend on.

Reynolds is a lifelong leader who is ready to listen to you, and fight for real change in Salem as your next State Representative.
